Welcome to Jake's Greenhouse
We are a locally grown and operated company located in southern Minnesota. Jake wanted to take after his parents and work with plants, which lead us to open up Jake's Greenhouse in the spring of 2022. From the start our goal was to grow plants that are cheap, but high in quality so that everyone can enjoy them.
Meet Jake
Owner; Primary Grower
Jake is a senior studying plant science (nursery and floriculture) at the University of Minnesota. He grew up around plants at his mom’s garden center and those experiences have had an impact on his life ever since. In his free time, Jake likes to propagate plants and nurse plants back to health. His favorite vegetable is carrots and his favorite flower is a hibiscus.
Meet Lizzie
Social Media and Communication Manager; Assistant Grower
Lizzie graduated from the University of Minnesota ('22) with a degree in Plant Science. She grew up gardening with her mom, which included a square foot garden. Her favorite vegetable is yellow pear tomatoes and her favorite flower is a daisy.
